Solorio Pottery
Steven Solorio has been throwing functional pottery and creating ceramic artwork for over 15 years. He honed his skills during a working apprenticeship with a world-renowned Master Potter. Solorio is well known for creating one of a kind pieces and inventing retail-ready ceramic lines for the garden industry and gift stores. Besides the small chain of pottery stores he has owned and operated, his work has been featured in art galleries in Northern California and along the Pacific Coast. Solorio's work has also been featured in juried art shows in Northern California, the Bay Area, and Southern Oregon. The biggest and most public showing each year is during the Christmas season at the area's largest mall, the Mount Shasta Mall. Working to promote the local art scene, Solorio has been a member and on the board of both the North Valley Art League and the Shasta Arts Council. Currently serving as a volunteer for the Professional Artisans Co-op, Solorio is working to organize 7 of the best-juried art shows in Northern California.
